I was inspired by the incredible cello tuning that composer Peter Sculthorpe uses in his solo cello work “Requiem” where the low C string is tuned down even lower. I am feeling these days a strange sense of repetition - every day seems the same often filled with the same routines and rhythms. Yet the routines start to morph without any notice, subtle changes as the days wear on. Just like the ocean waves continue every day, but are never quite the same.
