Two acclaimed California-based chamber ensembles combine for a program reflecting the diversity of the Pacific Rim—including works by Terry Riley, Sahba Aminikia and Dartmouth’s own Kui Dong. A two-time winner of the top Chamber Music America/ASCAP Award for Adventurous Programming, Del Sol is dedicated to 21st-century music. Grammy-nominated ZOFO is one of the world’s few piano duos focusing on the complex choreography of four hands, one instrument.

Works by Sahba Aminikia, Ryan Brown, Kui Dong, Gabriela Lena Frank, Ben Johnston, Kenji Oh, Pablo Ortiz, Nicholas Pavkovic, Terry Riley and Gabriella Smith.

Mill Valley Public Library: First Friday (Mill Valley, CA)

Debuting in January 2011 in celebration of the Library’s centennial year, the ongoing “First Fridays” series presents different narratives, ideas and presentations that an audience might otherwise not consider or experience. First Fridays are for adults and high school students. Programs typically last 90 minutes (including Q&A) and feature a free wine reception before the event. Patrons enjoy the intimate atmosphere and ability to meet our presenters. Attendance ranges between 250 and 300 people.

This event is free and open to the public. Registration highly recommend.
